About WebSmith
Original site

I first became interested in computer technology during my sophomore year at Concord-Carlisle High School. I was accepted into a program called Youth Technology Entrepreneurs (YTE), offered only at select schools in Massachusetts.

In the first year of this program I took courses in Hardware and Software. We learned how to dismantle a PC and its components, and put it back together, as well as how to reimage a computer with a new operating system, and install different software packages.

During the summer of 2000, I was placed as an Information Technology intern at the Massachusetts Corporation for Educational Telecommunications (MCET) in Cambridge, MA. There I was a member of the Website Development team, and given the task to work on the Mass LearnPike website. I taught myself basic HTML and helped create the linkage structure and content for their new site.

During my junior year, I was the team manager of my Web Design class and in charge of the reconstruction of the new Concord-Carlisle High School website. Throughout the year I also performed community service by volunteering as the Webmaster for the Concord Chamber of Commerce. In the summer of 2001, I was hired by the Chamber to continue updating and renovating their site.

When I decided to startup WebSmith Company, I chose to use Macromedia Dreamweaver to construct sites, Macromedia Fireworks to create images, CuteFTP to upload sites, and NTT/Verio for domain name registration and web hosting.

After graduating with honors from Concord-Carlisle in 2002, I attended Villanova University and majored in Management Information Systems. I am currently an SAP CRM Consulting at BearingPoint, Inc.
